A Winter Holiday…

As you will have noticed, there is no longer Music in the Bar! At least not the good, wholesome live and acoustic kind.

The approach to Christmas is usually a rather crazy time of the year for everyone; perhaps more so for busy restaurants. For this reason, Gandolfi and I have decided to take a short winter holiday from MusicInTheBar.

Some time in the New Year talented musicians will appear in Bar Gandolfi once again. Maybe even on a Sunday night. Check back here soon to see what’s happening.

Thursday 10th November 2011 - Muldoon’s Picnic

Muldoon’s Picnic is a five-part vocal harmony group based in Glasgow.

They sing unaccompanied songs from the sublime to the ridiculous,

taking in folk-songs, world music, shanties and spirituals, and have

even been known to dabble in Victorian parlour music.  But their

speciality is original arrangements of traditional song from around

the world, from authentic to experimental, presented with a sense of

fun that has won hearts throughout the UK.  “Interesting harmonies

sung with honest skill” … “compelling listening” … “if you haven’t

come across this wonderful group before, prepare to be amazed!”
